The Number UK today launches 118118//Media, a new classified advertising company offering businesses the opportunity to reach the tens of millions of callers to Britain’s most popular number, 118 118.
Headquartered in Windsor, and with regional sales operations in Cardiff, Dublin and Manchester, 118118//Media has immediately created 250 jobs with the prospect of reaching 350 by next year.
118118//Media expects to invest £14 million in its UK and Ireland operations during 2007, before expanding into mainland Europe next year.
National businesses and small to medium sized enterprises are attracted to 118118//Media’s advertising because 118 118 handles hundreds of thousands of active telephone enquiries every day. Ninety five per cent of these calls are business enquiries.
More than 3,000 companies have already placed orders for advertising contracts. Callers to 118 118 receive the advertising via 118 118’s free texts and web (www.118.com), and are also offered alternative numbers on calls, all at no extra cost.
A unique new tracking service, ‘Call Whisper’, means that advertisers can truly assess the effectiveness of their advertising because all calls are pre-announced as delivered by 118 118.
