17/06/2005 - Eniro acquires DA businesses in Finland
Eniro is to strengthen its market position in the directory assistance business in Finland through the acquisitions of Kymen Puhelin Oy, Lännen Puhelin Oy and Oy NovaCall Ab.
Eniro has purchased the operations of Kymen Puhelin Oy (south-east Finland), Lännen Puhelin Oy (south-west Finland) and Oy NovaCall Ab (cities of Pietarsaari and Lahti with surroundings), for a total amount of 13 million kronor. The combined operating revenues of the acquired operations amounted to 10 million kronor in 2004. Eniro Finland's EBITDA is expected to increase by approximately 5 million kronor annually.
In Finland, Eniro already operates a nationwide directory assistance service - Eniro: 0100100 - and a directory assistance service - 118 - for the fixed line subscribers of Elisa in Helsinki, Tampere and Riihimäki regions, Kestel in Jyväskylä and for TikkaCom subscribers in Joensuu and also for the mobile subscribers of Elisa.
Through the acquisitions, Eniro will clearly strengthen its market position in directory assistance services in Finland and will produce the
118 directory assistance services also for the subscribers of operators Kymen Puhelin, Lännen Puhelin, Pietersaaren Seudun Puhelin, and Päijät- Hämeen Puhelin.
The acquired operations will be integrated in Eniro as from July 1, 2005.
Eniro is listed on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
