118 Costs
Below is a comparison of the cost to call the current directory enquiries providers based on a call from a BT landline. All costs are based on prices told to us by operators of the services and published figures available from OFTEL or the providers.
Tariff 1:
Fixed charge - however long the call the cost is fixed.
Tariff 2:
Time charge - this is based on how long you use the service, and is generally billed per second.
Tariff 3:
Fixed charge and time charge - as well as a fixed charge for using the service, you are charged per second throughout the call.
Tariff 4:
Fixed cost for first minute, with a time charge applicable for the remainder of the call. Even if the call lasts less than a minute, the full fixed cost still applies.
